I've missed the connections and friendships I've made through my former blog and Youtube channel, building an amazing neurospicy community. I truly want to thank those of you who have reached out over the years while my neurospicy-ness has resulted in my blog and Youtube channel being very quiet. Each one of those messages meant and continue to mean so much to me ... and coincidentally usually came at times in the last 5 years where I've needed a bit of a "boost".
Let's just say that my life has been a tad chaotic in the last 5 years...
my son had to go live with his dad full time, without any prior notice, 2 years ago because of huge safety issues for both me and him, due to his violent outbursts (ie: his form of communication as he's non-verbal Autistic)
my brother had a major health issue that landed him in the hospital for 7 months
my former business partner decided to "fire" me from my own business which supported fellow neurospicy families, without any notice
my almost 10 year relationship ended
all 3 of my neurospicy kids have now "aged out" of the childhood medical system here in Canada, now that they are all 18+ years old
my youngest moved out of town to university (so proud of them!)
my kids and/or I have moved 5 times in the last 5 years (including an unlawful eviction with the Sheriff coming to change the locks on our door and 72 hours to find somewhere to live!)
I started 3 businesses (one "replaced" the one I was "fired" from ... it wasn't "covid-resistant" so I'm starting it up again in 2024!)
friends came and went
online dating (need I say more lol)
I became an empty-nester without any notice
full menopause
added another diagnosis to my mental health
Oh ... and there was this "little" thing (Covid) that shut the world down in 2020 and 2021 throughout all of this.
Needless to say, my mental health took an absolute nose-dive. Some days, I could barely get out of bed, let alone do anything else.
For the last two years, I've been fighting my way back out of the chaos, slowly, one baby step at a time. Two of those aforementioned businesses have become side-hustles, and I applied for and was successful at getting my first "work for a boss" job in approx 15 years... and I've never loved a job more! I've been off for two weeks now due to Christmas and New Year's holidays, and I can't wait to get back tomorrow!
I'm also starting to rediscover things and activities that make me happy. One of those was tools to rediscovering my joy of content creation was joining NaNoWriMo, which I posted about on my Instagram. I also seem to have re-emerged as an extroverted introvert, instead of the pure extrovert that I was!

Through it all though, I've always been me ... whether or not I knew who that was, and no matter what chapter of life I've been in. Online, I've been "I'm a Mom Too" about a decade ago, or now as "Meghan's Moments".
Now I'm welcoming 2024 wearing new and changed hats...
empty-nester mom
business owner
entrepreneur
part time work (I actually have a boss! What?!?)
neurodiversity advocate and still neurospicy myself!
speaker
daughter
sister (chosen and family)
sister-in-law
partner in new relationship
friend
and although it's not a "hat" or title, it's a huge adjustment I'm experiencing too... I live BY MYSELF! What?!?
So please join me for this new chapter of self discovery, healing, and just the every day thoughts that pop into my head. I'll post on my social medias when I upload a new blog post, event, workshop and what the new book of the month is (stay tuned for a book club I'm starting with a dear friend of mine!).
If you have been following me for a while, welcome back!
If you are new here, know that neurospicy is the "norm" here so enjoy the ride!
